The views of local stakeholders are being invited to shape the plans. Events are being held at Sunbury Adult Learning Centre: 19 Oct 1.30pm - 6.30pm and 28th Oct 10am - 1pm.

Early engagement

Feasibility design plans will be developed using ideas gathered from early engagement and informed by surveys undertaken by the Project Team.

We will seek views on the feasibility design plans proposed.

Engagement stage 2

The designs will be reviewed and developed further (to preliminary design stage) incorporating feedback from the second stage of engagement.

Design review and preliminary designs developed

A formal public consultation will be undertaken on the preliminary designs.

Formal public consultation

The designs will be developed in detail and finalised, taking into account feedback from the public consultation. The designs will be costed and different elements prioritised where appropriate.

Detailed designs developed

Funding is currently only in place for design. It is proposed that applications would be submitted for construction funding when suitable opportunities become available.

Surrey County Council want to work with and seek views from people who live, work, travel through and spend time in the Lower Sunbury area to design more people-friendly streets for all.

Help us identify the key local transport issues in the area and what could be changed to improve the streets in Lower Sunbury by submitting your views on the Commonplace site by 31 October 2023.
